As part of a school auction I had my students create mixed media heritage puzzles. Heritage was the school wide theme. Each student designed a section of the puzzle. We were inspired by our individual family heritage as well as our school community.

Experiments with air dry clay part 1!

I've long enjoyed working with clay and while I'm no expert I thought It would be fun to share a few of my efforts. I purchased this 25lb box of clay at Michaels for about eight dollars.
I’ve long enjoyed working with clay and while I’m no expert I thought It would be fun to share a few of my efforts. I purchased this 25lb box of clay at Michaels for about eight dollars.
This clay comes in white and terracotta. I using the terracotta for all the projects that you'll see today. This picture shows how the clay looks after it has dried out which take a couple of days.

This tile that I sculpted was painted us acrylic paints. You can't see from this picture but, I glued it to a round piece of wood so that I could attach a hanger and display it.
